The Baptist Union of Sweden

The Baptist Union of Sweden (BUS) has around 17 500 members in 214 local churches. It has been actively involved in international mission cooperation troughout the 150 years of its existence. The BUS was among the founder conventions when the Baptist World Alliance was established in London 1905. Twice, in 1923 and 1975, it has hosted BWA Congresses. The BUS is the oldest Swedish denomination after the Lutheran Church and is active in ecumenical bodies such as the Christian Council of Sweden and the Swedish Mission Council.
